MARGARET BUTTERISS
Margaret Butteriss is a highly accomplished organizational effectiveness and leadership development and human resources professional. She has consulted to leading companies in many industries in the U.S., Canada and the UK, both internally as a member of the senior management team, and externally as an independent consultant.
Margaret began her career as a lecturer in Business Studies for postgraduate studies at the University of Surrey in the UK. She then joined Shell International as an internal organization effectiveness consultant to Shell International in London, England and to Shell Canada, where she also managed the training function. She subsequently held a senior HR Planning position with Ontario Hydro, North Americas largest electrical utility. While at Ontario Hydro, she conducted a consulting assignment for the national electrical utilities in Malaysia and Sarawak
Margaret later ran her own consulting business, with major clients including Nortel, both in Canada and the US; Loblaws (Canadas largest supermarket chain); Sears Canada and numerous smaller organizations in Canada and the U.S. She was a member of the adjunct faculty for Nortels Learning Institute for 5 years, delivering Situational Leadership, Negotiating to Yes, and the 8-module Management Development program to major sites across the U.S. and Canada.
She then became an internal consultant to Fidelity Investments in Canada and in Boston. She also held the position of Vice President of HR for two of the Fidelity organizations.
Margarets most notable accomplishment was working with the President of Fidelity in Canada to reorganize the entire business to ensure that the appropriate structure and leadership was in place to achieve its strategic and business plan. She also created and implemented a competency-based leadership development process, and provided personal coaching to the senior leadership team. During this time, Fidelity Canada became #1 in sales in the mutual fund industry, was rated second on the Report on Businesss Best Companies To Work for in Canada, and first in customer satisfaction rating. The assets under management grew from $11 billion to $33 billion during her tenure.
Margaret recently completed a comprehensive leadership development and planning process for Fidelity Brokerage Company. She is currently consulting with Pioneer Investments in Boston on a major initiative that will shape Pioneers culture and values. At the same time, Margaret is providing executive coaching to senior leaders in non-profit organizations in the Boston area.
Her book, Reinventing HR: Changing Roles to Create the High Performance Organization; John Wiley and Sons, Canada Ltd, currently has a 5 star rating on Amazon.com. It was the first of the Wiley HR books to be translated into Spanish. Both Reinventing HR and Margarets subsequent book, Help Wanted, were on the Canadian Business Books Best Seller List.
Margaret holds a Bachelor of Science (Economics) and a Master of Science (Economics) from the University of Wales in the UK. She is certified in the use of MBTI as well as 360-degree assessment and feedback tools

WILLIAM ROITER, ED.D.
Bill Roiter is a Founder and a Managing Partner of Executive Performance Group (EPG). He is a psychologist and businessperson who has been consulting to businesses since 1978. He has provided individual consultation to many senior executives and has assisted organizations as they have implemented both planned and sudden changes. During this time he has started and sold three successful businesses. Prior to EPG his most recent was a venture capital backed communications software company with AT&T as a strategic business partner. His own management experience includes ten years as a managing partner of a growing professional service firm; three years as a vice president of a publicly traded (NYSE) company with regional operating and national sales responsibilities; and three years as a Board member and the senior vice president for sales and marketing of a high technology company.
Bill returned to consultation and coaching in October of 1996. He provides coaching to senior executives at some of Bostons and the countrys best-known businesses. Since the majority of Bills work is primarily with highly talented and successful people in business he has an intimate and unique perspective on what motivates them, scares them and attracts them.
